Bored of your brand? Good

An "antidote to the insanity that now pervades the marketing industry," Delusions of Brandeur, by Ryan Wallman is a good read.



Three things stay front of mind:


1) People probably take less notice of you than you think, and even less notice of brands. They won't remember a brand or what it's saying after being exposed to it once or twice and that means marketers have to bore themselves by repeating the same thing over and over - "Bored of your brand? Good".


2) Listed under 'The New Acronyms that every marketer must know' is B2S (Business to Self). B2S is "A type of marketing communication in which business appears to be talking primarily to itself... sometimes abbreviated to just BS."
